Laser for MP 40

Can anyone give me feedback on a good laser mount for my MP 40? I found a LMS-UNI

Uni-Max Rail Mount Laser from Lasermax on-line and as low as $139.00, is this a decent laser or are there others that are of better value?

Give it a month or two and the Crimson Trace lasergrip will be out.
I have one, I'm not sorry I spent the money, but that said, when the Crimson Trace sight comes out I'll buy it.

The lasermax works well, but forget it fitting into a holster for carry. I fired my full size a good bit in bright sunlight ,not using the sight to see if it would fall off( I had read of that happening) It never came off in my case. I understood you could, once sighted in at the distance of your choice, remove it and then reinstall without having to readjust.

That hasn't been my experience. Plus my full sized M&P40 paints the lens with gunpowder after some rounds are fired. (Wally world white box value pack target, taps, Ranger) I could be wrong but I would expect a guide rod laser to have the same issue if they made one for the M&P. Even so, I'm not sorry the lasermax is in my bag, it will fit on anything with a rail and it will find a home for good on something, just not a gun I'll carry at times. Now if I could just get a rail put on my shorty double barrel shotgun the wife would have the perfect home defense weapon

Thanks Bob.....How many rounds and did the GP cause it to be inoperatable? I found it on-line for $149.00....so maybe I'll try it.

after a couple of clips. Not an issue for a home defense weapon stored by the bed side. Was another good reason to start storing some cue tips in the range bag anyway. they are good for hitting some of the oiling points on my Kahr MK40.
