leather softening

I have a gun belt that I bought from an amish leather-worker.

I have been wearing it for about 3 weeks and it woln't break in. I have bony hips and it digs into them when I wear it.

This is harness leather, is there any way to soften it, even just alittle?

You can try some boot grease or boot oil, I prefer obenauf's.

This is a pretty good deal from them. (the waxed boot laces in the kit are the best thing in the world for side-zip boots. Wish you could order them on their own).

I work with leather quite a bit and the only thing I would recomend is a little neetsfoot oil. It softens leather without making it go limp but you must be sparing with it.
