I purchased a M&P40c about a month ago. I have put around 400 rounds of various ammo including WWB, Remington and Federal. I have had around 40 light striker hits on the primer. I sent the weapon back to Smith and Wesson for repair two weeks ago. Hopefully they will take care of the problem. Has anyone else experienced this with their compact?

My .40c had two failure to fires (light primer strike) after returning from it's first trip for waranty service. I think the slide was failing to lock completely since the FTF round fired perfectly when I re-chambered it. This may be related to my guns primary failure to feed problem. I think that if the round catches or hesitates on the feed ramp it slows the slide down enough to prevent it from properly cycling/closing, very similar to what can happen if you limp wrist.
