I have a small but steadily growing collection of handguns and I am outgrowing my current safe. I am interested in the Browning Compact version. I live in a two bedroom Condo and space is at a premium so the compact is a good fit for me it measures 30x24x20 with two shelves and weighs in at about 300lbs. Does anyone have this safe or can anyone give me a review of it..

Browning safes are of good quality. There are better but there are many worse. I would not be afraid to buy!!

I was really interested in that safe, but after seeing the $789 MSRP I think not. Any cheaper alternatives out there of similar size/quality?

honestly, i went to wally world and looked at the sentry safes that are about the same size, they only cost around 100-150. also, stack on makes on that is at bass pro, dicks, and the sports authority in the same ballpark. if u want waterprrof and fireproof, u might have to shell out more.
