Heard from a very good source within DEA that the DEA is going to go to the M&P40 begining with the next recruit class.

Don't know if it will be optional or manditory or if in-service personnel will be required to transition to the M&P.

If this turns out to be correct you can imagine that the M&P will begin to get picked up by other Fed agencies as they can go ahead and buy off the DEA contract as did the FBI and others with the Glock 22 and the M4's

S&W has traditionally kept their magazines on the high side, best chance is the aftermaket, I can't think of the name of the Italian magazine maker that makes the M&P magazines right now, S&W might have an agreement with them, we might hope there's a time limit on them not selling them on the aftermarket, and they can bring out their own at a lower price, they did that with the Beretta Model 92's.

Well that would mean the DEA has good tastes in weaponry! I love the RRA AR's and the M&P's!!
