Hi to all.

Picked up the pistol the first of June. 9MM

So far ~ 450 rds thru it and zero issues, Rem & WWB 115"s...

For me it points great, hand grip is very natural, overall very pleased I got it.

However, I seem to have a problem getting the slide off.

The manual says to:

Pull slide fully to rear-engage slide stop: Got it.

Lower sear lever into well: Did that.

Rotate take down lever and hold: Thou I dont remember holding the take down lever, just rotated it

Now heres where I just must not have the "feel" for the step:

"Grasp the slide, PULL SLIDE REARWARD, THEN FORWARD, ....No go for me.

Being new, I didnt want to use max force. I tried lifting up some when going backward and forward.

If theres a "trick to it" I sure like to know.

TIA, Tom

Welcome to the site...
Welcome!!

Make sure the gun is unloaded and no mag!! Push down the sear disconnect, rotate the take down and walk slide off forward. U should not have to pull it back!! Let me know if you can't get it!!

Thanks CM1985, I'll try it...thanks to all for the welcome.
Welcome.
Push the 'yellow' sear disconnect down. Won't come apart if you don't do that.
The pull slide rearward part is if you locked your slide back, which you want to do so you can depress the little lever.

The things that can hang it up:

Failure to move the little lever down

Failing to make sure the takedown lever stays in the take down position, on some of them it wants to flip back up.
Welcome to the site Tom. I'm new here myself and I don't live too far from Hobart, perhaps we can get together and do some shooting sometime. Always looking for new shooting partners.
