So since i've been shooting 357mag out of my model 65 sixshooter this past few weeks, I can't stop thinking how perfect this 80y/o cartrige really is for personal defence. More so then 40S&W(40 is 45ACP power from 9mm kick i was told I, but to me is more like 45ACP kick and 9mm power - THIS IS MY OPINION. I DON"T WANT THIS THREAD TO TURN IN TO HOW 40 IS BETTER ROUND!!!) would love to carry it instead of my M&P, but having just 6 rounds is not my idea of safe.



SO more and more i think about it, I think M&P357Sig is gonna be my next carry gun - whenever becomes available.



What you guy's opinion on 357Sig?

The ballistics of .357 Sig are on par with 9mm +P. If that's what you're looking for...

I am a 357Sig fan myself. Like the 10mm, to realize all the potential of the cartridge you really need to handload them. With 357Sig factory loaded ammo, you don't really gain any ballistic advantage over the .40S&W.



What do you mean by "9mm power"???
