NIB .40 never fired. 200 rounds. 1050 FPS semi-wad cutters.
First let me say this one fantastic firearm!
I shoot 1911's. Period.
When this is issued in .45ACP I'm gonna be standing in line like it was a once in a lifetime concert. I have never taken to a 'plastic' pistol. I cant stand em. Till now. I still cant stand Glocks, too damn boxy.
Its like grabbing a 2x4. The grip is sucky at best. But the M&P feels like a 1911 in my hand. I get to use the same grip and it feels natural, like falling off a log.
I had the whole range to my self with targets at 10, 15, 20, and 25 yds.
I have never shot a M&P....ever.
Full mags 2 shots rapid fire, roll and switch lanes, repeat thru 8 lanes.
Lanes 9-10 25 yds 15 rounds. Roll back 5 rounds rapid back to start.
Pure combat no group care taken. Never more than a second between shots.
I bout freaked! I stopped at the first end and walked out to see the results so I could adjust. Most a Lil left but still in the black, 1 stray.
I reset the rear sight and finish my run. All center mass. 1 stray. 3"- 4" groups could be seen.
The guys at the range were trippin. Everyone pulled out some ammo and had at it. In came a couple of GBI agents and they had at at as well as one county LEO. I think I got credit for selling two of em in 3 hours.
Not one FTF or FTL. Fantastic feel. Minimal recoil. (I'm a .45 freak)
You can control the .40 like a dream and it will do just what you want it to.
Damn this pistol is sweet!!
Only one problem.. The slide release. Way freakin too tight. In fact damn near imposable. Although once on reload the slide dropped as soon as i slammed in the mag. I had my thumb on the release but it felt like it dropped because of the mag insert. I could be wrong, but it just felt that way.
I want it to be extended and polished for function. Other than that, it's freakin great.
I think I've found my new CCW. After the slide release is fixed anyway.
