I have an opportunity to acquire around a thousand rounds of S&B 230 FMJ. I was wondering how this stuff shoots in the M&P 45? Has anyone tried this round out?

Mine does. I included one box of S&B in the first outing of 200rds. FWIW, my .45 didn't choke on any of the ammo used. I will say that it produced quite a bit more smoke and fouling than the Rem. UMC, Blazer Brass or Federal.

YMMV

That's surprising. I find the Remington UMC to be the dirtiest ammo I have ever used. I have used S&B in 9mm and .223 and found it to be pretty clean and pretty hot. Maybe the powder they use for the .45 loading is the culprit.

I have always had good luck with S&B ammo in 9mm and .45.
