I just got my M&P 9 and I noticed that the firing pin channel is not oval like some said S&W changed. Should I be concerned or have it sent in for this upgrade?

Are you talking about the hole in the breech face where the firing pin will protude?? If so, it is not supposed to be an oval shape, but rather a more tear-dropped shape. Don't worry about it....go shoot it.....

I just want to know I have the most updated gun.

I'm always leary about buying a weapon under the 10,000 mark. One more thing, does it void the warranty polishing the parts?

Seemd the test fire case has somewhat of a teared shape. It must been be the updated model. Can't wait to get to the range with my 9mm. I rented a .40, but I've never shot the 9mm.
