The only reason they are $369 is because of the buy 10 get one free for Bud's. I doubt that S&W has that offer for the M&P compacts currently and of course supply and demand. The guns will probably stabilize around the same normal price ~$450 of a full size in a few months.
Why Hassle With Mail Order????
Just went to Bud's web site and the current price is $489.00 + shipping $25.00 (uninsured) + FFL fees ($25.00 to my local FFL) = $539.00.
It can be bought locally around $499.00 + Tax (.0825%) = $539.00.
When I can get it cheaper I will own it!!!!! 8)

Yep, if you figure it out, you can get it cheaper with tax at a Gander Mtn or locally if it is about $500. However, I do not have the local option.
If you can be patient (unlike me), you can probably wait till the price dips another $40-50 in the upcoming months.
