Shedding a bit of light on the $369 price at Bud's ...
While I've not flat out asked Bud if this was true, (I got to speak with him on the phone when he accidentally picked up my line) one of the dealers I spoke with knew that Bud had the best price on the M&P's anywhere and said that it was basically a volume deal with a Smith and Wesson incentive of one FREE M&P with a specific quantity ordered.
Granted, this info came from just one dealer, but it does make sense. I asked if there was only about $10 or so profit at $369 and the dealer said that was about right at that price and Bud was basically using the FREE M&P to even things out.
When querried on how they could sell them at this incredible price, Derek at Bud's did confirm that they order an enormous volume of S&W products.
Now personally, I salute Bud for being entrepreneurial enough to work out such a terrific deal. It's one that I fully intend on taking him up on when he gets additional stock.
The problem is, however, that other dealers aren't too happy with Bud's capturing the M&P market, and may be voicing their concern to S&W.
For those of us still waiting on Bud to get his next shipment, we can only hope that S&W continues to offer the incentive to Bud and that Bud will continue to pass this tremendous savings opportunity on to us.
I am a little concerned as the expected shipment M&P product is well over a week late, though Derek and Brandon at Bud's both say to keep watching their website, as the price will appear at $369 when the shipment arrives.
Looking over at GunsAmerica.com, there's another dealer offering them for $399, and of course numerous dealers with them in the $450 - $500 range.
So Bud, PLEEEEASE keep taking care of us ...
You'll get my business at $369!
