Just curious as to how much people in Michigan bought their M&P 9mm for. Any great deals in the Macomb County area to speak of?? I need another, I want to get the aftermarket blast and melt job done on it

buds is the best price around.
Well at $447.00 plus shipping and tax + transfer fee, its about the same as the local gunshop here @ $499.00. I am looking for a better localdeal than $499.00.
they will come back down to the 369 mark. call them and talk to them.
I ordered a MP9 yesterday from Buds thru gunsamerica for the $369 price. Pistol, shipping, and 3% CC fee came to $404 and change. Only glitch is that I have to wait until the end of the week for their next shipment to come in.

They're selling pistols they don't have?

Called Backorder.
Apparently so. Something strange going on there. They don't have 17 rd 9mm models in stock for the $369 price but their website shows the same model in stock if you want to pay the $447 price. When I ordered(and paid for) the M&P last Monday they said their shipment of $369 guns should be in at any time. I checked with them yesterday and now they say it will be at least the middle of next week. That price is great compared to anywhere else I've looked so I'm going to give them a little more time but I hope there's not a "bait-&-switch" tactic being employed here.

Shedding a bit of light on the $369 price at Bud's ...

While I've not flat out asked Bud if this was true, (I got to speak with him on the phone when he accidentally picked up my line) one of the dealers I spoke with knew that Bud had the best price on the M&P's anywhere and said that it was basically a volume deal with a Smith and Wesson incentive of one FREE M&P with a specific quantity ordered.

Granted, this info came from just one dealer, but it does make sense. I asked if there was only about $10 or so profit at $369 and the dealer said that was about right at that price and Bud was basically using the FREE M&P to even things out.

When querried on how they could sell them at this incredible price, Derek at Bud's did confirm that they order an enormous volume of S&W products.

Now personally, I salute Bud for being entrepreneurial enough to work out such a terrific deal. It's one that I fully intend on taking him up on when he gets additional stock.

The problem is, however, that other dealers aren't too happy with Bud's capturing the M&P market, and may be voicing their concern to S&W.

For those of us still waiting on Bud to get his next shipment, we can only hope that S&W continues to offer the incentive to Bud and that Bud will continue to pass this tremendous savings opportunity on to us.

I am a little concerned as the expected shipment M&P product is well over a week late, though Derek and Brandon at Bud's both say to keep watching their website, as the price will appear at $369 when the shipment arrives.

Looking over at GunsAmerica.com, there's another dealer offering them for $399, and of course numerous dealers with them in the $450 - $500 range.

So Bud, PLEEEEASE keep taking care of us ...
You'll get my business at $369!

Looks like Bud did get the M&P .40's in, however, the price is up $20 to $389.

I was lucky enough to buy mine for $369. I went and picked mine up in person. Bud is GREAT to deal with and the M&P is the only deal he has in his shop. I plan on picking up a compact M&P when they come in.
Got mine at $369 as well but the newest shipment has still not arrived at Bud's so im still waiting.

Two weeks with Bud's promising an "Any Day Shipment". Talked to them last Thursday and they told me, "We talked to our Smith guy and it will be today or tomorrow." Their website today showed my prepaid order still backordered.....Very frustrating at the least, at the worst......
They have the M&P 9 now with no lock for $389.
Mine is the 301 (no mag safety) and it is still backordered on the site....was told before that at latest it would arrive to them from S&W last saturday.

Yeah, Finally Did It! :)

Put my order in today for my M&P 9 and asked if they happen to have any 301's in lieu of the 201's with the Mag Safety.

Brandon said YES! They had just come in, but had not been placed in inventory, so I opted for the 301 since it seems to be the most popular choice.

I can't believe it, my FIRST handgun, and OH what a pistol!

I sure hope I can handle it. Every time I watch some people shoot 9mm, I still get fearful of the recoil, etc. but then again, they don't necessarily have the best form and technique.

Going to take a few days to review eye and ear protection as we've been discussing in another thread. I want this to be as pleasent an experience as possible.

I believe the local range said they carry WWB 9mm for about $9 / box. Guessing that's for 50. Decent deal or does WalMart possibly offer better savings?

This is really exciting, but scary too. It took me long enough just to get comfortable handling an unloaded firearm. Heh ... Guess it all comes with practice and exposure.

Well, any more suggestions as to things to get, learn, do, etc. ... I'm all ears!

Cet.

Woot I just got a Shipment notice from Bud's for my 301!!!

Good thing too because I was getting really impatient after 2 weeks and about to change my order to a Dan Wesson PM-7 and CBOB. Still may actually get the DWs too though....

My cousin will probably order a 301 tonite as well.
Just checked Buds and they have the 201 and 301 for $389. For those that want to get a good deal you'd better jump on this because after monitoring buds, they do update the site often just like they say. Next time you visit the site that deal may be gone.
After two weeks I finally got my notification today (from Bud's)that my M&P was "shipping". I bought at the $369 price so perhaps that means that deal is available again. I hope that means it will be here tomorrow. Even at my age I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. And that with a safe full of handguns. Something about this pistol that just feels better than almost any other hi-cap I've tried. I hope it shoots as well as it feels in my hand. We'll know soon.
