I was looking through the magazines at Books-A-Million the other evening, while waiting on my wife, and came across a comparison between polymer framed duty pistols ( can't recall the mag title ). It was a comparison between the M&P, Glock, XD, and H&K P2000. Essentially, they had a large number ( 6 or 8 ) people run each through a course of fire and compared groups and user comments. They also used a 1911 based firearm ( LDA I think? ) as a comparison. The M&P had the best Avg group at 2.5 inches I believe and was either ranked first, or tied with first, by each shooter- except 1 who rated the 1911 as first choice. I think it is safe to say that S&W have a real winner on their hands in the M&P.
