Hey guys,

I have been pondering the magazine rattle problem with the MNP,

Some have gone as far as to hammer on mags or install shims.

THIS IS REDICULOUS

Smith & Wesson needs to stop trying to save money, by using basically the same mag for the 40 and the 9, and start making M&P9 magazines WITH RIBS, this will have the added benefit of imparting rigidness.

Any thoughts? Has anyone contacted Smith on this issue?

They know the fix, how long will they put it off?

The 9mm mag does have ribs...

They are 2 different mags, just the same basepad.

Its the .40 mags that might need ribs. I think that the only rattle problems are with the .40 mags. But dont quote me on that.

I'm not sure about the 9mm mags, but the only ammo that rattles in my 40c mags is Speer Gold Dot. Out of the ten or so other types I have loaded into them, that is it.

This is compact-wise. I'm also not sure about the full-size.

Oh ****!

Well I guess they should make the ribs a bit deeper shouldn't they.

I feel stupid for not noticing that.
