Does your metal do the typical M&P slide dance where it moves left to right upon the sear releasing?

No - I haven't noticed it doing that. Range trip on Friday and will report back if I see that.

Gun is still so new. I don't know if anyone makes anything, other than what comes on the long slide, metal M&P

Call S&W Customer Service and see if they can tell you whether or not anyone makes aftermarket sights that fit your pistol. They might have given/sold sight dimension/size to aftermarket companies to make sights.

If that fails, you might contact some of the bigger sight making companies to see if they're making them, or working to make them.

The dovetails from 1.0, 2.0 and new metals are all the same.

Dawson Precision makes FO sights for optic ready/CORE type sights
