well, i just wanted to contribute to this site, as others have done.
I took my new M&P9 to the range to see how it shot the other day, and was suprised a bit. I put about 250 rounds of BBI Blazer FMJ through it just to see how it felt, and liked the way it reacted in my hand. I had the small grip on it because it felt best in my hand both in the store, and at home, but it didnt give me enough area to hold on to with the supporting hand, and felt odd especially during rapid fire. Played with the other grips, and finally decided the medium was best, but that may change over time. I noticed that while grouping decently well, i had a tendency to shoot high and to the left consistently. I am by no means an expert marksman, but could group pretty well with my XD9. On a sillouette target, when aiming at the center X, i was hitting in the left shoulder. and when aiming at the right #8 i was hitting center mass. any explanation anyone might offer would help. All rounds were shot at 15 yards (only distance available at this range).
In conclusion, i like the M&P, but am not as comfortable as i thought i was going to be. i think it is mostly due to figuring out which grip is best, and fixing the accuracy problem. This is not a negative feview by any means, it just means that there is stuff that needs to be worked out.

P.S. sorry, not failures of amy kind, even with intentional bad shooting form ie. limp wrist, sideways, upsidedown, rapid fire, etc...
