Hi everyone. Thanks for the great forum, advice, informative posts, and thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can offer.

I just recently acquired a beautiful M&Pc9mm. Couldn't sleep the other night, so I went on a bit of a shopping spree.

I already have a carbon fiber holster designed for Glock27 (without finger release-- think it's an older version) with FBI cant and paddle/belt clips. I got rid of the 27 in favor of the M&P because the M&P was superior in so many aspects.

The 27 holster takes the M&P surprisingly well. In fact, it's almost perfect. BUT it is wearing on the side of the slide a little bit, and I like the idea of the locking system on the new Blackhawk SERPA holsters (yes, I read all of the horror stories about the finger movement to unlock the holster continuing on into the trigger guard and causing problems, but I'm not worried about it).

Thing is: I went to Blackhawk's site, and was looking around. Found the holster I liked, and in the gun selector dropdown box, they only mentioned "M&P". The site is semi-broken, so there were no images to confirm what was going on, so I assumed that S&W only had one model M&P as opposed to full sized and compact.

I did a Google product search for the holster and ended up at Botach. They also didn't mention anything about Full sized vs. Compact so I went ahead and ordered it. (I also heard the horror stories about Botach, but I called them today and they were very nice-- assuring me that I could exchange if I want.)

So My question is this: does anyone have a Blackhawk CQC SERPA locking holster for full sized M&P and a M&Pc? Will they work together? Could it be something that I could mod myself to work?

The gentleman at Botach said that generally the notable difference between the full-sized and compacts is that the barrells are a bit longer, and the frame a bit taller. Is this true?

As an aside, I pulled the same bird-brained move while looking for a laser sight. I ended up getting the LaserMax LMS-UNI (Red). Does anyone have any experience with this laser on a M&Pc? This one I'm not as concerned about as I think it will fit fine on my Walther P99.40 once I get my hands on it.

Again, thans in advance for any help.

Best regards.

My SERPA holster for the Glock 20-21 works fine with both sizes.

It's perhaps 1/4" long for the full size and 1" too long for the compact.

I can't remember the model # but they now have a sticker on the packaging adding the M&P.

Yes, their site is not the best to navigate.

Added;

I believe the model #'s are 410525BK (matte finish)

410513BK (carbon fiber finish)

Much thanks.

Holster came in today, and it does indeed fit quite nice. I'm really digging the SERPA system. It works flawlessly for me.

Hard for me to see how anyone could get their finger on the trigger upon removal from the holster. Though, I shouldn't say such things until I have to deal with it in the heat of the moment.

A couple more questions if I may.

The holster came with this small little square piece of plastic, and I can't for the life of me figure out what it's for.

Here is a picture of it:

If anyone can let me know what that is and what it's for I'd appreciate it.

Also, I got the Laser today, and while it does sit on the rail of the 9c, there is quite a bit of overhang. I plan to dremek out the fron of the trigger guard tonight to try and get it flush against the front of the slide.

Also think I'm going to mod my old Blackhaws glock27 holster to try and take the 9c with the laser on. Anyone have any experience fooling around with these composits? Are they tough to get through? Recommend a certain bit?

Again, much thanks for the input fellas.

Post up a pic if you mod the trigger guard...

I think the composite is basically just plastic made to look like composite. A little heat does wonders for shaping/modifying. Again, you can't mod anything around here if you don't post a pic...
