I've made 6 holsters now, 2 for my 1911, 2 for my buddy's Ruger, and 2 for my M&P (well I actually made a M&P as my first attempt, but I don't count that one). Anyway, I've gotten MUCH better after each attempt and am proud of my latest two creations (the M&Ps).

Here they are! Any opinions?

(Any comments on getting these to show?)

They look pretty good!

The size of the photos is way too big, and the file size is larger than it should be to post the photo directly. To include photos you should try to stay under 600-700 pixels wide, your photos are over 1200 pixels wide, and the file size under 100 kb for each. Some of the people who read these posts are on dial up, and it would take them forever to download them.

Here's hot links for them:

Much better! There's something in the url of those photos the board software doesn't get along with, I'm not sure what it is, but they still won't post as a photo, only a link.

It looks like it would be difficult to draw from that holster.

Am I missing something? A picture of a M&P holstered, on the body, would be helpful.

Yukon, I think the loop is meant to be flipped downward, towards the muzzle. Else it would partially cover the pistol's grip and you wouldn't be able to easily get a hold on it.

Am I right JoseM?

Good work, btw. Better than I would've done!

You are right...the loop is just upwards to help show off the leather, when worn, it goes down under the belt and then back up to snap. And yes, it is handstitched.

Then it looks like it would ride really high. And with the loop being on a swivel, it looks like it would not be secure.

Again, a picture of the holster in use would help.
