Guys,

Im sure that there is a easy fix to my issue, im just not smart enought to figure it out

The Surefire X200B that slides right on the rail of my Glock 23, will not slide back on my M&P's rail far enough to lock into the rail. I tried to switch out the mounting plate on the X200B with no luck. Any ideas???[/u]

Mine was the same way. I just used alot of force and it snapped in place. Now after being on and off 15-20 times, it snaps on with a perfect fit.

ridetime,

Could you post a pic of the mounting plate you are using on your X200? The batt. cover/switch is up against the front of the trigger guard on mine, so it wont slide back any further on the rail.

Yes Ridetime, could you show us pictures of your M&P with the X200 on it? I am having the same problem as Nickdrak... It would be really nice not to have not to have to buy another light just to fit the M&P. I really hesitate to use a great deal of force pushing the light down the rail.. I don't want to damage the gun, naturally. But if it can be done, it would save me about $400 for the M6! (Lilly is very against me spending $400 for anothe flashlight!!)

If you could take a picture of the trigger gaurd, so that we could see if it had to give way, or the light had to give way to make the fit.. I would really appreciate it.

Captain Ray,

ridetime was correct! I just slid it all the way back on the rail again, and gave it a lite tap on the front of the light. It clicked right into place, and came off easily. ***Just make sure that the weapon is unloaded first, since you will unavoidedly cover your hand with the muzzle when pushing/tapping on the front of the light***

ridetime,

Thanks for the fix

I noticed with my X200A that I had to use the universal plate instead of the picatinney plate. With the universal on, I had to give it a little push to lock on. No way the picatinney one would fit, even though the M&P has picatinney slots. Just a distance thing in regards to how far the trigger guard will let the light slide back.

Anyone have a duty holster for their M&P w X200? The Safariland rep said none of their holsters would fit this combo

I have really been thinking about a weapon light for my .40c, but there does not seem to be many that fit it yet. I hope more will come along in time! I would like to get a Streamlight.
