I went to the range the other day to test out my new MP 9. I must say this is such a sweet gun, definitely happy with my purchase and can not wait till I can get back to the range again. As I was shooting there was only one thing that seemed odd to me and I was wondering if any of you have ever noticed it with yours. I was shooting at an indoor range with WWB 115 gr FMJ. Granted the lighting was prob slightly low, I seemed to notice a large amount of muzzle flash. More so than any other handgun shooting the same load. Anyway any opinions or observations would be appreciated

It was just the ammo. Winchester is known to change powders in the WWB. I would get some different ammo and try it. Stay away from the Remington UMC; that stuff has lots of muzzle flash.

muzzle flash is more about the powder than the gun. Except for barrel length. A nice fast burning powder will give you less muzzle flash as most of it is burnt inside the barrel rather than outside.
