My wife works from home and takes care of our 7 month old daughter. We recently purchased a new M&P9c for her (my wife, not my daughter). She would like to be able to have this weapon on her person at all times while at home.

After evaluating various carry options, it appears that a drop-leg holster is her best option: she can still carry our daughter on her hip, she can sit, stand, etc. and the gun won't get in the way, onward and so forth.

I do not, however, want to spend $100+ for a $20 kydex holster plus straps and buckles. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced drop-leg holster? If it is made of anything other than kydex, I'd want a retention strap.

Thanks in advance.

Drop leg holsters are generally duty oriented and still require a belt.

There are numerous options

Safariland has variations on this theme

Blackhawk has a version

Uncle Mikes

Bianchi

There are several other versions available that are lower end nylon universal fit style holsters
