I am considering doing my own stipple work I saw on another post someone used a soldering iron and theirs turned out real nice. Now I have an advantage with the M&P I have 2 test grips to make sure I can get the effect I want I plan on buying a wood burning kit and using that Any thoughts would be appreciated... And I am looking for suggestions to get rid of the beaver tail.. I need the years of experience to flood this post PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks-Jason

I'd also like to read of others' experiences with this. I am surely going to remove the beavertail on my M&Ps and may try stippling (especially since I also have two spare grips with each of my guns).



I have seen some photos of Glocks that were modified using a hacksaw, with the sawn edges sanded with drywall screen. They looked great. And these were done by Joe Average Shooter, not a refinishing place like Arizona Response Systems. I am likely going to try this myself with the M&P beavertail as soon as I get up the nerve.



I've seen photos of good results with soldering-iron stippling. Look forward to reading tips from those who have done that.

- Morgan did not have one or three beers and he did not choose Sam Adams.

- No one had Molson Ex on Sunday.

- FinalFusion did not consume four beers.

- G56 chose "Blue", on Saturday. he had more than one beer.

The wrong kind too long ago, and not enough.

With replacement grips only being like 2 or 3 bucks a pop it really isn't a bad idea to try it out yourself. I personally would rather pay a pro like Mr. Burwell to do it - especially when it comes to stippling the actual frame. I trust him melting my gun, but not myself.
