I’ve decided to buy my wife and I Smith and Wesson MP’s to carry with us when were out riding on our four wheelers. The problem is I don’t know weather to get them in 40 S&W or 45 ACP. My wife is currently shooting a 38 Colt Detective Special. She has no problem shooting the 38 special. I’ve never shot a Smith and Wesson MP in 40 S&W or 45 ACP. So I don’t know which one has the most recoil in the MP. I’ve heard that the 40 S&W recoil is more like a “quick snap” compared to the 45 ACP which is a “big push”. I would appreciate any advice from you folks that have been shooting the Smith and Wesson MP.
