I just recently purchased a new m&p 45 for $480+tax (a decent price I think). I loaded the clips and let them sit for about a week before going to the range. My wife and I finally found time to visit the range, her with her S&W 22 revolver and I with my proud new m&p 45. With my wife watching, I loaded up and squeezed the trigger for my inaugural shot. The empty casing came straight back and hit me directly in the middle of the forehead. She laughed so hard that she started crying. Fortunately no one else was at the range at the time, so the embarrassment was quickly overshadowed by laughter. The rest of the 200 rds went of smoothly and ejected properly. I suppose that the 45 just wanted to make a proper introduction with that first shot.
