Two friends and I met the range Yesterday morning with my new M&P 9, my Walther PPK/S a S&W airweight .357 snubie, a Taurus 24/7 9mm, hungarian Makarov, Walther P38, my AR15, an XD9, a Mosin M44 and a few other toys. With the exception of the sound and light show of some 200gr ammo for the Mosin, my M&P stole the show. We all loved shooting it and ran 100% flawlessly. After 100 rounds I was shooting it better than the Glock that I sold. I had been shooting the Glock for almost a year. One of my friends is now looking at rplaceing his Taurus 24/7 with an M&P of his own.



Overall we ran around 300 rounds through the M&P. It was mostly Remington 115gr FMJ, but we did run some Hornady TAP 147gr JHP (left over from the g17) and some Speer 124gr JHP Gold Dot, to see how it fed defense ammo. I decided to use the 124 Gold Dot for carry ammo in it and bought an extra box to load up a carry mag.



I'm VERY pleased the M&P and have no regrets about getting rid of my G17. If I just convince my wife to trade her XD-9 for another M&P, I'll have it made....

WOW!! Sounds like fun but then I think about all those guns to clean.. LOL.. I can see about 4 to 5 hours of just cleaning guns.. LOL



Has your wife shot your M&P yet? Maybe if she shoots it a few time she might move over to the M&P side..

If you think that was alot of guns to clean, you should have seen what I had to clean after shootng with GeorgiaPacking.org. We had 40 of us meet at a large outdoor range for the day a few weeks ago. I had all 8 of my guns there.



Glock 17 - 400 rounds fired

Walther PPK/S - 200 rounds fired

XD-9 - 200 rounds

Ruger MKIII - 150 rounds

AR15 - 300 rounds

Hi-Point 9mm Carbine - only 20 rounds, I forgot to turn off the red dot the last time I used it

1891 Argentine Mauser 7.65x53 - 150 rounds

Mosin M44 - 150 rounds.



I spent 2 days cleaning guns afterwards. We all had a blast though and shared our toys and ammo with each other. We decided to make it a quarterly thing and will do it again this fall.
