Hi all.

Just picked up a 9mm compact and only had a chance to shoot it for the first time today.

For myself, I've been at this handgun shooting business for about 36 years now, shot police ppc matches and IPSC for a number of years but don't actively compete now. Also no longer involved in law enforcement as I'm now an RN working for the VA in psychiatry.

I collect mostly what interests me, no particular specialty. I have Smith and Wesson revolvers, Colt Single Action Armys, 1911s, Browning Hi-Powers and a smattering of some other stuff in addition to various rifles and shotguns.

I've been interested in the M and P since it came out largely because it seems like an ergonomically friendly pistol that combines some of the best of the thinking from polymer guns. Having owned several, including the Glock and HK USP Compact they worked well but seemed to miss the mark slightly in one area or another. I'll be pretty interested in how well this pistol works out after its thrown some lead down range.

Will look forward to corresponding with you all.
