Hi all! I'm in suburbs of Pittsburgh and and I am planning my first M&P purchase maybe later this month (trying to save up the rest of the cash!). Not sure yet which way that I will go, 9mm or .40. I like the performance of the .40, but for some reason, I've always wanted a 9mm. Must be the "Glock envy" that I developed years ago from watching my Brother shoot his. My goal is home/personal protection, not competition.

While researching the line of MP pistols, I came across this form and found it to be an excellent source of information! Thanks to everyone. Once I get mine, I hope that I can contribute to the knowledge and experience on this forum.

Welcome!
Either way, 9 or 40, you can't go wrong. I have owned both in fullsize but decided to sell the 9. Don't get me wrong it was a great gun I just wanted the extra stopping power without much more recoil.

I'm originally from the area and I'm still a huge Penguins & Steelers fan.
