I have many S&Ws, about 50-50 revolvers to autos. Autos range from M39-59-745-845-945-952 and some M1911s.

Reason for joining this forum is my recent purchase of a M&P9 which has, by far, the WORST trigger of any handgun that I own. S&W had to do some warranty work to correct jamming but did NOT alleviate the trigger problems.

Found links to this forum and have read about solutions so joined. Will investigate further and then decide what to do. It is difficult to reconcile that I have to purchase parts for a NEW PISTOL just to get a trigger that is acceptable, one that y'all get when you first purchase the gun.

Of course, being an inmate of the Socialist Commonwealth of Massachusetts (where by God the S&Ws are made!) may have a lot to do with it!!

I'm sorry to hear about your problem. I visited my local range rental and shot the M&P9 several times before I commited in buying one for myself. I really like the trigger of this pistol and I have 1600 rounds with no problem.

Welcome DD45

We have heard a bunch about the Mass. trigger.

We do not suffer in that way, out west. The normal M&P trigger, I have 2, is really quite good for a low cost production pistol. I had a couple of XD's and have used some Glocks. In my opinion the M&P's are certainly as good, I think better than the others. They do require a little break-in or stone work to smooth out but are not bad. The other brands benefit from a bit of polishing also.

Don't know what the legality is but you can order non commie parts and convert it to western style should you choose to.

Good luck and enjoy your new toy.

Dan Burwell can probably help you out with that trigger.
