I think they're pretty neat little pistols.

I'm a CZ guy. Have been for about 10 or 12 years now. Three of the last 5 pistols I've bought have been Shields (two 1.0's and a Shield Plus). The other two are a SIG 2022 (which doesn't group as well as the Shields at 7 yds.) and an Equalizer bought for my wife.

These days this forum seems to "buzz" more about Shields and Shield Plus pistols than the more numerous full sized and compact models. They are great little guns.

Is yours a standard model? Optics ready? Performance Center? Mine's an OR (optics ready) but some of the members here have different models/variants.

We're waiting on the range report.
Might be a few weeks.
The mp 2.0 can only pickup at the end of the month. It is at LGS already but NCIS can only be run once every 30 days.
Got the shield plus back from the smith for sight replacement. The OEM front night sight stopped glowing after a week. So had to call SW for replacement.

I am so bummed, I can't wait till I can go a shoot both of them for the first time. Hope my own gun will perform as well as the one I rented.

Ps... Still debating on whether to get the light and laser for eather of them.

May try this one and see if I like it.

Some people see green (laser or dot in an optic) better than red. Others see red better. I bought red/amber for years but realized a couple years ago green works better for my eyes.

The holster I'm using it the same one I used for the older 1.0 Shield. I modified it to fit the Shield with the light/laser combo on it. When I got the light (TLR6) for the Shield Plus I tried it in that same DeSantis holster and felt it fit good enough to worth ordering another DeSantis to modify so I could have an IWB holster in both grab bags.

Hopefully others will chime in with the brand/name of the holsters they use. Or you can search on the forum to see who uses what. Lots of threads on the Shield Plus pistols and recommendations for lights, holsters, etc.

The DeSantis I use doesn't have a positive lock of the pistol into the holster but it's an IWB holster and it shoves the back of the frame up into the area below my ribs so the pistol isn't going anywhere unless I grab it and drag it out of the holster.

After carrying a P07 for years you wouldn't believe how many times I'd be walking across a parking lot or in a store and suddenly get the notion that I'd somehow, somewhere lost my Shield out of the holster. Then I sort of rub my elbow across it as I walked and realize I still had the Shield, it was just not "showing up" in my mind because I couldn't feel it at all.

Cool , so you use Desantis holsters, I will try to find something with that info.
My other problem is that I am a lefty, and some mfg don't have anything for left side drow.
Not a big issue right now as I am. It carrying, just want to put together a set to wear around the house to get used to it. If I finally decide to get my CCW it may be helpful.

Here's a picture of mine in the holster. You can see a line/arc of thread holes where I cut the thread out to open up the bottom rear for the light.

This is with the 4" barrel/slide on it with the TLR6.

Most kydex holsters firmly lock the pistol into the holster. You can turn the holster upside down and shake it a bit and the pistol won't fall out. Those made for guns without a light usually lock into the front of the trigger guard. Those made for pistols with lights usually lock onto the back sides of the light. Either way much more positive locking of the pistol into the holster.

This DeSantis doesn't have either of those features but I'd have to be upside down and twisted hard to my left side to get that pistol grip out of my side so it could fall out of the holster. Wearing what I wear, carrying what I've carried, getting used to it can be darn painful the first few times I carry it. That 2.0 .45 acp Compact was making my skin feel like I had a bad burn till the 3rd or 4th day. After that it stopped irritating the skin where the grips made contact (going out I have a t-shirt between me and the gun/grip, but wearing it under a t-shirt working outside in warm weather the t-shirt was on the outside of the grip and the grip felt like it was removing a few layers of skin at first. Same for the 17 round P07 magazines when I switched from a 12 round (P07) .40 S&W magazine to a 17 round .40 S&W magaizne (P09 mag. with a +2 base on it). That is carried IWB on my left side and it used to tear me up after 3 or 4 hours. Now I can go all day with it there and it's fine.

My wife keeps telling me how heavy her glasses are and I just tell her she'd get used to it if she'd leave them one long enough. My experience doesn't compute in her mind. It's uncomfortable therefor it won't work and must be changed.

I am kind of agree with your wife. 🤪🙀 Because I also wear glasses and I had a few in the past that were too heavy and uncomfortable. Since I can change glasses every 2 years I made do with bad pair until I had option to change them.
