Just moved to CT about a month ago and will be getting an mp9 once the moving bills are paid. Things are a little different than GA in regards to ownership, but not as bad as NY!! Looking forward to learning a lot from this forum!
Getting that Permit can take some time, but is not difficult, based on what town you're in. It seems that 4-6 weeks is rare, 8 weeks is about standard, and longer can occur (much longer in some towns). Since CT is reciprocal with no other state, you have to start at the basics. Check your local PD ASAP to get the process started, you could end up having the money to buy a pistol, but no permit. Feel free to PM back (or post) with any questions.
