ya know he may just have a case

with the fact he responded as a private citizen, not as an employee.. Of course that brings into the fact, does he really want to work for those folks.. all they were thinking was "liability".. not that the girl could have bled out and died, no...

ya know.. i'd have to agree with him though, i think i'd loose my job also if it came down to saving someone, if i could of course make a difference at that time.. Would you?.

Sorry for him, but he's probably better off anyway.

There was a somewhat similar situation in Oklahoma City recently, a couple of guys were in Home Depot and decided to serve themselves, they grabbed some expensive stuff, I think it was several chain saws, and ran from the store, a couple of heroic employees chased them down and held them for Police. How did Home Depot reward them for their acts? They got fired! They weren't supposed to follow them outside, I can understand that policy to prevent employees from getting hurt, but in this case the guys deserved a reward, and not be shown the door!

I guess some companies have control over you even after you punch out.

At least thats what their lawyers think.

Do businesses really think that they can control what their employees do after hours?

Im asking this because i know that companies around here have started putting restrictions on smokers, meaning they have to quit.

Are businesses getting out of control with restrictions?

What do you guys think?
