They are OK. They will work with the M&P rear sights most of the time but are no where strong enough to get a front sight off.

This is what I use:

It is $4.15 for 5 feet. I also keep the 1/2 in diameter around. I just cut it into 3-4 inch pieces as I need it. It is stronger than the brownell's stuff but it is still not strong enough to take out a front sight. Of course I have buggered up several brass drifts trying to get front sights out as some are seriously in there.

Thanks. I need to remove both a front sight and a rear sight. So to clarify/confirm, 3/8" 8554K27 is strong enough to remove a front sight?
