OK, maybe I'm just a bit premature, but I just placed an order for carry gear for a pistol I don't have yet. I am awaiting issue of my new M&P9, and I intend to carry it off duty as well as on, so I wanted to have my gear when I get my gun. I just placed an order for a Comp-Tac Pro Undercover, and twin mag carrier. Pics will be forthcoming, it will be like Christmas when I finally get my pistol and holster. Is anyone else out there carrying a full size M&P off duty, and if so, what is your preferred holster and gear. I would like to see pics if you have them. Thanks!

Not off-duty, but I carry my M&P9 every day (ccw).

Holster is a Kramer IWB#3 (for a SIG P229R, don't know if they make one specifically for the M&P yet).

I carry one spare magazine in a Ready-Tac kydex pouch. I'm not really a big fan of kydex mag pouches (seen far too many of the clips snap) but haven't really found a leather pouch I'm happy with yet.

I've carried a number of different full-sized guns over the past ten years or so (including various Beretta 92-series, SIG P226 and SIG P220 variants, etc.) so the M&P is no challenge.

I just recently purchased an IWB from Crossbreed Holsters, www.crossbreedholsters.com. I have had it two days now and wore it pretty much all day today. It was very comfortable in a relative sense that it was the most comfortable I have experimented with so far and I would highly recommend it. Im a fairly short "beefy" kind of guy at 5'8 and 206lbs, my shorts fit very well with this holster and no part of the gun contacted my skin once (unlike some of the others I have tried). Needless to say, I carry the M&P 45 and it works very well. I will take some pics. tomorrow and try to figure out how to post them here.

My agency issues us a Sig P-220R and I've had no problems concealing it off duty. Now that I've had my M&P .40 full size for a while, I'm just waiting until our next qualification date so I can qualify on it for off duty carry. I just wish they would let me use it as a duty weapon, but that isn't gonna happen.

I'm wasn't real crazy about the ALS at first, but I wanted a retention that mimics a duty holster. The thing is not my favorite but within that scope it was the best I could do. It didn't take long to adapt. It is defenitely not a good concelmant choice
