Bought an M&P 45 today and ran through 150 rounds no problems at the range. During dry fire practice today, I heard a weird crunching sound when I pulled the trigger. I racked the slide and pulled again, this time a crunch sound. I tried a few more times and more crunching (and no snap of the striker being released).



I took out the striker and noticed peening on the striker as if the plunger or striker were out of spec.



Has this happened to anyone else?



I am not a happy camper right now as my new M&P 45 has to go back to S&W and my 9C has to go back for the mag catch issue...

Sorry to hear you're having these problems. I have ~200 rounds thru my M&P45, at this point not a single problem....knock wood...
