I have two M&P's both fullsize. The frame on the .40s&w (Rev M) seems to droop down in front of the trigger guard. Is this within specs or should I call S&W. The picture below shows comparison with my 9mm (Rev N). The reason this came to my attention is that the .40 drags a little bit in my CompTac holster.

Can the frame extension be tweaked up a bit by heating it with a heat gun and clamping it in the desired position?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Not sure if it is out of spec, but my M&P 45 does the same thing. Other posts here have verified it as a common issue/concern.

Mine droops, probably less than 1/16th of an inch. Am I worried? Not really, the four points of contact that the slide rides on are at least 2 inches away from that point, and the frame drops down and away from interferring with the slide.

What I'd worry about is what the M1913 rail does in relation to the slide, (EDIT: in relation to the sights would be more important) is it parallel, or drooping or does that even matter?
