Two questions....

Are all the parts other than barrels interchangeable between a fullsize and a compact.

I would also imagine if one wanted one gun, but desired different trigger weights, one for competition, and one for carry, he could buy a sear assembly housing and have one done for each function. Is this feasible?

Here are the parts that I know are different:

Slide

Barrel

Frame

Magazine

Frame tool

Recoil guide rod assy.



Comparing the parts lists, it looks like all the other parts are interchangeable.



I don't see a problem with having 2 sear housing blocks. You would have to make sure you didn't carry your comp. block.
