Do you mean to tell me that the stock spring and rod is cant be broken down?

I dont have one of the hex head rods, that I heard mention of during a search.

Can I get a confirmation that its truly crimped and the spring cant be changed out?

I believe the round head is pressed together; and the hex head is screwed together. BUT, I haven't tried to unscrew one yet. Maybe someone will post up that has actually taken one apart.

There is a non-captive rod available at the MP-Store.
