Pistol break in?

Does anyone have any advice for pistol break in?

Hoping Mr. Burwell in particular will respond to this

shoot, clean repeat.

I put 500 rounds DR to start with on the first day. Cleaned it after 1k rounds for the first time.

Totally depends on the gun.

For a standard S&W M&P I would be suprised if a break in period was needed. Keeping it well lubricated is key.

Break in? What is this thing you speak of.

Shoot it till it's dirty. Clean it. It's broke in.

Break-in? Break-in? they don't need no stink'n break-in....
