Hello,

I am thinking about selling my S&W Model 58 revolver.

41 Magnum
4 inch barrel
Nickle plated, there is a small dark spot under one of the grips. Noticed it when I put a set of after market grips on it.
Would include the original grips and the after market ones.
5-10 (HKS??) Speed-loaders must still in package.

What would be a fair asking price for it? I have no idea of an ammon count through it but it doesn't look like it was fired much

Have you checked some of the online auction sites such as GunBroker, ARMSLIST, or GUNSAMERICA to see what's out there and to get an idea/comparison of price vs condition, etc? I think that may be a good starting point.

Howdy Good Guy,

I have looked at several of the auction sites and see prices from $350-$975. I don't see a difference in the guns at the lower end to the ones at the higher. Naturally if I decide to sell I would like the upper end, but I want to be realistic and not run an auction numerous times with no results.

Someone somewhere, I know not the best reference, said that there was a way on the auction sites to search for the past results to see what different things have sold for. I just have never figured it out.
