OK, I have to share as I never find the good deals in time. I saw a post on Glocktalk from someone that said Walmart was clearing out some 9mm ammo so I thougt I would go look. My Walmart had nothing on clearance at all, but on my way to the range this evening I looked at the one on the way there. They had Remmington .40 for $7.00 a box, so I ended up with all they had which was 400 rounds. 8) I never find deals like that, $60 with tax for 400 rounds makes me happy.

They has .223 for $7 a box and some .45, but I have neither caliber currently, though I have .223 ammo in my safe already for no reason so I guess I should have gotten it anyway. They also had 100 packs of .40 for $17 (also closeout) and the clerk tried her best to get me to get those too. I love a store where you get 400 rounds and they try to get you to buy more!

Moral is, check your WM to see if you get lucky! Only one store out of the three I tried had any, but it was worth it to me.

The two walmarts local to me had no winchester at all, and no remington. I was shocked, and bought the last two blazer brass .40 cal boxes they had left. I wonder what's going on over at walmart that they are all so low. I've never had a problem finding ammo there before.

I saw the previous post and I went directly to my nearest Wal-Mart, but no deals in sight. At least the prices weren't any lower than their already unbeatable ones. I hate Wal-Mart though. I only go there for the ammo and the $10 tire patch jobs.

I am lucky because I travel all around my local area for my job, so I will have to check the other stores when I'm near them. I still wish I could have found some 9mm but maybe next time.

I'm also not a huge Walmart fan, but you can find some decent ammo deals there, and most of the time good deals on grocery's compared to the local stores. My only other ammo options are Dicks and MC Sports as there is not a single gun shop in town.

I stopped at Wally World to check out the prices of ammo here since so many of the members here use their stuff and it was actully more expensive than my gun shop. Even their blazer brass was more expensive. What was funny was the blazer was cheeper than the WWB they were selling. I need to find a place to get it a bit cheeper till I can get my reloading going.
