I saw an attachment on a 1911 a long time ago, it was a plate that mounted on the rails and came up in front of the slide so the pistol could be used to push a suspect, or anything else I guess. I just thought of it because it bothers me how an auto cannot be fired if the slide is pressed back slightly enough.

Of course I'd like to see one of these for an M&P, but can anyone help me find exactly what this is called and who makes them. I hope my description was clear, if not let me know.

Yes that is it exactly, now I know why I couldn't find anything. I got my terminology wrong.

For the 1911 it's called an Alternate Force Block.

Well I'll just make this a callout to our sponsors, please make this for the M&P if it is at all possible.

Thanks for the article Hunter
