I just got my case of 165gr SXT (talon) ammo today, hopefully friday I can do some tests between that and my 155 gr hydra shok.

Looks like a pretty effective round, also like it will feed well. Hopefully it will shoot as well as it looks.

I like the SXTs and the Gold dots.

I wish I could find some of the Corbon DPXs.
I am thinking of switching to 165 gr. Gold Dots. The reason being is Speer offers the lawman practice ammo which is matched to the Gold Dot in weight and velocity. This will minimize the difference in feel between my practice and carry ammo.

It says LEO only, but its not government law, just winchester. If you find a dealer that will sell them, it is legal for anyone of age to buy them.

I have a case of the talons, they are reliable and consistant. My reloads are also talored to the same velocity.

I "got" some SXT's today at a gunshow. 50rds for $15
, but I won't be able to open them until Christmas  . I also got 50rds of 165gr Gold Dots for $16.25 but I didn't notice that they said +P until I left. Will this be a problem?

I bought some reloads from Georgia Arms; 500 180gr FMJ for $95. I think I could have done better on the internet but I need ammo now.
