Well- last thanksgiving my father in law shot my M&P40, and this year he bought his own. Problem at the range, however- the rear sight (novak) slowly slid itself out of alignment and rendered the gun inaccurate. We thought it would be an easy fix until we found out that the set screw was absolutely frozen in place. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Also, if we do happen to strip the screw, do you know if it is something that smith will readily send out?

range report?

Gun was shooting awesome, 8 inch groups from a standing position at 25 yards, until we noticed our groups slowly creeping to the right... eventually we were putting 8 inch groups in the mud.

Don't let the sight slip all the way out or you will lose some critical parts. If smith won't send one Brownells gets $15.00 for the stock rear sight should you choose to not send it back.

Good luck.
