I currently have a simple red dot scope mounted on my 22A. However, at 25 yards the actual red dot is bigger then the bullseye I am trying to hit on my target, which makes for messy groups. I guess I get what I paid for.

I need something more precise. What is the "max" distance you can accurately shoot with a .22? Does it make it to 100 yards accurately? Is there any kind of technical spec that defines the size of the dot or reticle that I need to look for? What scope would you recommend?

Also, do I need to be worried about the scope being potentially longer then my actual pistol (7" barrel)?

That shouldn't matter right? Lots of questions; Newb here, in case you hadn't noticed

Thanks

I traded in my $40 red dot for a Nikon Monarch 2x20 EER Pistol scope:

Got it from Sportsman's Warehouse. It looks real sexy.

I'll take some nice pictures for the Gallery soon!
