A big request for a new FAQ for us newbies to handguns, not to mention the M&P's!

Could some kind soul with a digital camera take a few pictures for a step by step on the proper cleaning and lubrication of the M&P?

I'll be picking mine up from a local FFL the end of this week (3 business-day waiting period, not from purchase date, but from paperwork), and I already have a pint pump spray bottle of CLP, but I imagine I'll need a few more accessories for proper care, not to mention the know-how of what to do and how to do it right.

So, if someone would be willing to photo-document their latest cleaning/lubing session (heck a video would be awesome!), I for one would be most appreciative!

It may be simple for you experienced shooters, but for me, it's a whole new world, and I don't want to make any mistakes.

Thanks Much!

Cet.

Thanks ... I have read the manual in the past, but nothing beats REAL images of the M&P in various states of disassembly with someone pointing to various parts and saying, "Clean this, put CLP here, put OIL here, put GREASE here, etc.".

Heck, if Dan or Jester or any experienced individual from the forum visits Orlando, I may just have to dust off the old camcorder and put a video together.

The parts breakdown diagram was neat, but too complicated for a newbie like me. I really need an "M&P basics" picture or video course that shows what you should do and how to do it.

I did find someone cleaning their .38 and another with a .22 LR semi-automatic that falls apart on google video!

I know that this is an old thread, but this is what came up when I did a search... Does anyone know if a step-by-step (with pics) has been put together for us newest of newbie's???

The M&P manual is pretty good but some like what cet requested would be nice.
