I've been using Rig +P Stainless Steel Lube for many years, I usually use it on surfaces that have a lot of pressure on them as they slide, like the bearing surface of the hammer on a 1911 or AR15, just a little dab will do you. You use such a small amount a small container lasts a very long time, I've had the same 2 oz container for probably 20 years.

i use the rig +p stainless as well. it's good stuff... and it stays right where i put it, as opposed to some of the "travel" i've found with other lubes of a thinner "liquidy" composure.

i highly recomend this stuff.

I've used it but years ago, and that was for a preservative not a lubricant. Didn't seem to dry up and go away, so I suspect it would work fairly well
