I have an M&P 40 I jacked up the take-down tool/ backstrap pin. trying to take it out, well to make a long story short, I called customer service so I could order one, they mailed me one for free. I like that, its cool, anyhow peace on Earth.

wow, that is very cool. One of mine is a series pain to remove while the other one is easy. Wondering if the tough one is out of spec. Perhaps I will try and get antoher one from S&W.

I haven't heard many complaints about S&W customer service. Most folks give them high marks. Looks like they came through for you.
