I am selling my M&P 40 and have lot of factory ammo, both FMJ plinking stuff and some HP PD rounds, still with box flaps sealed, that didn't get used. Is it legal to post it for sale and ship across state lines to a buyer? Any words of wisdom related to this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, you can sell and ship your ammo. When you ship it, take it down to the UPS/FedEx hub. Tell them it is ammo, and they will put an ORM-D sticker on it. You have to ship it ground service. I have shipped ammo many times without any problems.
