OK, I called S&W and they said the Ser # has nothing to do with when it was made( or anything). However, some special runs do have special Ser #. Back in the 80's, they started with "AAA0001" and went on.

It was pretty steady in sequence until the 90's...with only a few out of sequence runs. Then all bets are off!

Lazy, you bought yours on the 25th, I bought mine on the 29th, the case date on both was 1/8/15, and both have a serial # prefix of HVE. Looks like ours may be out of the same run that was sent to Texas.
