Shot my Compact 9 today

Just a quick note on my 9c. I picked it up last week, and finally got a chance to run up to the local indoor range. I ran about about a 125 rounds, and really liked it. I don't consider myself a real super accurate shooter, but impressed myself at about 30 ft out. I really am not a pistol guy either, almost exclusively revolver. Everything I own I shoot double action only, including my 4053 S&W. That being said, I really found no issues with this trigger at all, and it really never came to mind.

I shot 115 WW FMJ, and 124 WW Nato spec, and 115 Remington Hollow points. Several times I mixed all 3 in the same mag, with no problems. I pretty much shot it right out of the box. Pulled a bore snake thru the barrel, and threw drops of oil where S&W said to and off I went.

I like the size and weight loaded, tossed it into an inside jean jacket pocket, and it fit well.

Overall I had a lot of fun shooting it, and am convinced to go buy a full size also. Plus there is an ever increasing number of people working on and making add ons for the M&P, so there will be some cool things to do to the M&P if you like that stuff.

I keep telling myself that I'm waiting on the Compact 40. In reality, I find myself wanting the 9mm. I have a P-99C in the 40 cal and she is a hand cannon. I'm thinking the recoil would be less significant with the 9mm. BTW, good review.

Yes, I have the P99c in 9mm - I wouldn'tw ant one in 40 cal...
13 rounds in such a small package, low recoil, cheap ammo, great terminal ballistics with modern JHPs such as Winchester Ranger; I love it.
